A reminder that the Club’s AGM is being held on 13 Oct 24 at the clubrooms at 11.00 AM.
There will be a sausage sizzle and Happy Hour immediately following…..members could put pressure on the President to provide a few free beverages at that time……..?
All members are encouraged to attend.
There are a few constitutional amendments to be voted on, committee persons to be elected, lots of talk about finance and the usual bad tempered report from the Secretary. Should be fun.
The garden bed adjacent to the practice green is completed. The retaining wall around the Blue 1st tee is currently in progress.
There are ropes various about the place designed to prevent cart traffic from sensitive areas.
Members are asked to consider the damage to playing surfaces from the transit of 20 or 30 carts over the same ground, over and over again.
Particularly as the recent rain bomb has brought the mud to the surface in the usual spots. The corner of the 1st, the last 100 of the 3rd, around the green on the 5th, the first half of the 11th and so on. A slight detour into the rough will not impact anyone’s game.
