Golf results – week end 5 April

Tuesday April 1st

April Fool’s Day saw a competitive Stableford event unfold, with men teeing off from the white tees and a small contingent of three women also taking part.

Andrew Patterson (21) claimed victory in a tight contest, edging out Shane Morris (7) on countback after both finished with 34 points. Terry Quigley (30) secured third place with 33 points.

Among the women, Carol Stuart (25) led the way, posting 32 points to take the top spot.

Thursday April 3rd

Thursday’s stroke event, played off the white tees, saw a modest field of 20 competitors, leading to a single-grade contest.

Daniel Pianta (4) delivered a stellar performance, carding a net 71 to take the win. Andrew Davidson (8) followed closely behind with a net 72, securing second place.

Fresh off his Stableford victory earlier in the week, Andrew Patterson (21) continued his strong form, finishing third with a net 74.

Saturday April 5th

Saturday’s stroke event brought out a determined field vying for the prestigious monthly medal.

Nudge Featonby (24) came out on top, claiming both the monthly medal and the B Grade victory with a superb 71 net. Andrew Davidson continued his impressive form, narrowly missing out on the overall medal via countback but taking out the A Grade win.

In A Grade, Adrian Goudie (11) also carded a 71 net to secure second place, while Larry Maxwell (10) followed with a solid 73 net to claim third.

B Grade runner-up honours went to Greg Healy (19), also with a 71 net, and Robert Skidmore (24) rounded out the podium with a 72 net.

The women’s competition saw Pan Prendergast (36) claim the monthly medal with a strong 73 net. Tristen Wearne (8) followed with a 76 net to take second, while Carol Stuart (25) secured third place with a 78 net.

This week’s comps are Tuesday (8th) Stableford, Thursday (10th) stroke/midweek medal and Saturday’s comp (12th April) is Stableford as well as GOTY.
